No. 6 Water Polo Falls to No. 4 California in Season Opener, 9-4

Under ongoing winter showers coming down from Manoa, the No. 6 University of Hawai'i water polo team began the 2018 campaign on Saturday at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex, battling with No. 4 California but ultimately falling 9-4 in the first UH match of the day.

HONOLULU--The University of Hawai'i softball team held its first practice at the newly renovated Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium on Tuesday afternoon. The project, which started on June 30, 2017 is nearly complete. The renovation would not have been possible without the support of the Hawai'i State Legislature which provided $3.4M of appropriations toward the improvements.

he sixth-ranked University of Hawai'i water polo team kicks off its 2018 season starting on Saturday as host to the Rainbow Invite, set to square off with No. 4 California, No. 22 Loyola Marymount and No. 23 Marist. The Rainbow Invite runs from Jan. 20-21 at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex. Opening the season at home for the first time since the 2000 season, the Rainbow Wahine begin the year against California at 12:00 p.m. HT on Saturday, Jan. 20.

Cheer Team Finishes Fifth At UCA Nationals

ORLANDO, Fla.—The University of Hawai'i cheer team competed in the 2018 Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) College National Championships this past weekend at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Fla. Hawai'i advanced after doing well in the semifinals and finished fifth in the Division IA Coed Championships.
