Furtado’s Brace Propels Rainbow Wahine Soccer To 3rd Straight Win

With the win, the Rainbow Wahine (5-4) extend their winning streak to three games, all on the road, marking Hawai'i's first three-game road winning streak since September of 2004. UH won at Idaho State on Sept. 5 and at Arizona State on Sept. 15 before Sunday's victory.

Women’s Volleyball Sweeps Northern Arizona

HONOLULU—The University of Hawai'i women's volleyball team went over the .500 mark for the first time this season with its second sweep over Northern Arizona (4-7) in as many nights. Emily Maglio led Hawai'i with a match-high 11 kills and five blocks while Savanah Kahakai recorded a match-high 17 digs on Saturday night at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Cross Country Competes in 26th Sundodger Invitational

The University of Hawai'i cross country team took on its first mainland competition of the 2017 season on Saturday in West Seattle's Lincoln Park, with the Rainbow Wahine finishing ninth overall in the race in the 26th Sundodger Invitational.

Pacing the Rainbow Wahine to the 27-point first-place score, La Mesa, Calif. freshman Sienna Santiago finished second overall, slicing 18 seconds off last week's 5k time and coming down the chute at 19:54.1.

The Rainbow Wahine fell in a five-set heartbreaker to the Cougars, 25-18, 25-12, 16-25, 15-25, 15-7. The 'Bows got off to a rough start, but battled their way back to for a fifth set before falling to BYU.
